As President, Financial Markets Division for Global Insight., Robert M. Lemmond is responsible for all Global Insight business with the world's leading financial institutions, including investment banks, asset managers, commercial banks, consumer finance companies, and insurance companies.
Lemmond previously held the position of executive vice president North American Sales and Support where he was responsible for growing and managing the sales and support operations for all of North America. Lemmond joins Global Insight with over 15 years of experience in the information technology marketplace. Prior to joining Global Insight in 2001, Lemmond was senior vice president of Enterprise Services at Northern Light Technology, where he was responsible for building a global organization, which included partnership marketing, product development, enterprise marketing, and client services.
Lemmond joined Primark Corporation in 1994 when Primark acquired Worldscope/Disclosure Partners, where he held the position of senior vice president of sales for Primark's subsidiary, Disclosure, Inc. In this position, he completely rebuilt and expanded the organization by recruiting over 60 salespeople, created a new level of client support and service, and developed an enterprise sales strategy, which resulted in substantial revenue gains, as well as product distribution throughout the world's leading financial institutions. Lemmond was later promoted to executive vice president of sales and support, with responsibilities that included several information technology companies, including WEFA, Datastream, Disclosure, Worldscope, Extel, and AT Financial. Prior to the acquisition of Primark by Thomson Financial, Lemmond assumed all operating responsibilities for the PiranhaWeb division.
From 1992 through 1994, Lemmond served as director of global sales for Worldscope/Disclosure Partners. In this role, Lemmond tripled revenues in each of the three years, expanded distribution of the Worldscope database with key partnerships, and built a highly effective sales organization.
Lemmond is a graduate of Merrimack College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He has also pursued graduate studies in finance at both Columbia University and Boston College.
