Bob Scott, Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer for Global Insight, is responsible for IT operations on behalf of internal users, and IT development and operations on for direct client facing products and services. He has been with a predecessor company and Global Insight since 1971 and has served as a Senior Economist, VP of Data Operations, VP of Data/Software Business, and now CTO.
Since the formation of Global Insight, Scott has overseen the process of stabilizing and improving existing legacy technology products, architecting a new replacement platform utilizing a combination of .NET and Web Service technologies along with best practice user interfaces and is working toward migrating customers and internal users to these new products. The underlying framework is now poised to leverage Global Insight content easily into the many varied uses our client base makes of our information.
Scott graduated from the University of Delaware with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, and a Masters Degree in Economics.
