Global Insight releases new Index Monitor for MSCI Barra's Benchmark Index Data

Waltham, MA, 25 January 2008 - Global Insight, the world's leading company for economic and financial analysis and forecasting, today released its new application built specifically around the global equity benchmark indices from MSCI Barra. Global Insight's Index Monitor features the MSCI Standard Indices as well as the MSCI Global Investable Market Indices.

"Index Monitor provides easy access to MSCI Barra's vast repository of indices and securities through a single intuitive interface" said Bob Lemmond, president Global Insight Financial Markets Division. "Global Insight is renowned for its macro-economic and sectoral forecasts and analysis. The Index Monitor provides clients the same intuitive access to MSCI Barra's benchmark data that DataInsight provides for all other Global Insight content. The combination of these two Global Insight products provides unparalleled access to data at the country, sector and company level," Lemmond concluded. "In addition, the fact that the Index Monitor is so competitively priced should help to expand the market and make this invaluable content available to an even larger audience."

"We are very pleased that Global Insight's Index Monitor will feature the MSCI Global Investable Market Indices," said Ted Niggli, Managing Director of MSCI Barra's Index Business Unit. "Our goal is to enable clients to access our indices through their preferred vendor, and we welcome the addition of Global Insight's Index Monitor to our list of vendors."

In addition to the MSCI Standard Indices and MSCI Global Investable Market Indices, Global Insight intends to make the MSCI Global Islamic Indices, the MSCI Gulf Corporation Council Countries Indices and the recently released MSCI Frontier Markets Indices available within the Index Monitor by the end of the first quarter.
