China's National Bureau of Statistics' CEMAC Enters Into Contract with Global Insight
Parties to Create Comprehensive China Database for Worldwide Distribution

Waltham, July 30, 2008 - Global Insight, the world's leading company for economic and financial analysis and forecasting, announced today that it has entered into a contract with the China Economic Monitoring & Analysis Center ("CEMAC") to obtain data on China for worldwide distribution. CEMAC is a unit of the Chinese government's National Bureau of Statistics, with the mission to provide statistical information to the public.
This new agreement provides Global Insight with timely and comprehensive information covering all aspects of China's economy to be used in Global Insight's research and information products and available for direct distribution to Global Insight's corporate, financial and government clients around the world.
In a unique new arrangement, CEMAC will also obtain data from many other Chinese government agencies and will act as a central source to supply such data to Global Insight. As a result, the overall database will cover a wide variety of areas, such as international trade, foreign direct investment, finance, insurance, communications, energy, agriculture and tourism.
Global Insight and CEMAC are also planning to work together to create new joint analytical products to keep the marketplace better informed about developments in China.
