TRANSEARCH® INSIGHT
Our TRANSEARCH INSIGHT database is your exclusive source for U.S. county-level freight-movement data by commodity group and mode of transportation. We developed this historical database by combining information from public sources and data on primary shipments obtained from major freight carriers. We compile and produce TRANSEARCH INSIGHT annually, providing you with the most comprehensive information on domestic freight activity available. Thanks to our acquisition of Reebie Associates, we have extended this database to include projections consistent with Global Insight's macro forecasts.

FREIGHT LOCATORTM
Global Insight's Freight Locator is a companion to our TRANSEARCH INSIGHT data service, adding specific facilities to the freight shipment information TRANSEARCH INSIGHT provides. Containing more than 168,000 records on U.S. manufacturing and warehousing establishments, Freight Locator tells you who are shipping goods and what commodities are being shipped. This service also provides estimates of annual tonnage, equipment needs, and rates of business growth or contraction.
Intermodal Freight Flow Database
As a natural extension of our historical TRANSEARCH® database, Global Insight's state-of-the-art U.S. Intermodal Freight Flow database projects freight flows by truck, air, rail, and water for all 3,000+ U.S. counties. Twice a year, Global Insight provides detailed annual data for 38 different commodity groups. This unique database is the only system that links freight forecasts with detailed economic activity from Global Insight's Business Demographic database.
Highway administrators, transportation planners, and state departments of transportation use this information to plan infrastructure investments, analyze economic-development initiatives, and quantify the impact of proposed policy changes.
